Antimicrobial - Provide protection with antimicrobial technology: SafeSEAL™ uses an antimicrobial compound that suppresses the growth of bacteria and mold on the diaphragm. Using silver ions, a naturally occurring microbe inhibitor, the antimicrobial compound provides a safer alternative to synthetic chemicals. Standard precautions should still be followed, including cleaning of the diaphragms between use.
Designed to improve acoustics - Improve Acoustics: SafeSEAL™ actually replaces your traditional hard diaphragm and is designed to improve acoustical response. It creates an airtight seal on the stethoscope head preventing sound loss through air leaks. Unlike traditional hard diaphragms, the elastic flexibility of SafeSEAL™ provides a greater range of frequency response.
Warm to the touch - Eliminate 'cold touch': SafeSEAL™ is made from a 100% latex free synthetic elastomer. This highly flexible material and its stretch-to-fit design easily fits most brands of stethoscopes. This special material is comfortable and warm to the touch, eliminating any patient discomfort from a cold stethoscope. Its one-piece design prevents accumulation of debris from collecting under the stethoscope rim, and SafeSEAL™ will not crack, peel or chip.
